All our Organic Lawn Care Programs are in fact 100% organic and do not contain any manure, animal by-products, processed sewage, or pesticides.
Through the use of these high quality all natural products and services, thick, lush and green lawns can be created and maintained with extensive root systems, better water holding capacity and without excessive top growth.
Products
Alfalfa: All natural, organic fertilizer made with a blend of alfalfa, corn and a variety of natural plant biostimulants. Triacontanol, which is naturally occurring in Alfalfa, is known to increase root mass and encourage greener and broader leaves.
Corn-Plus: A plant based, slow releasing fertilizer rich in nitrogen and potassium. Both a pre-emergent herbicide because it inhibits the germination of weed seeds, and an excellent organic Nitrogen source, thus making it an all natural weed and feed product.
EZ-Flo Compost Top-Dress: Compost derived from leaf and yard trimmings. It is in a pelletized state so it is easily applied with a fertilizer spreader. It contains no offensive odour, even wet. It increases soil nutrient and water-holding capacity, and is excellent when slit-seeding for improved seed establishment.
Beneficial Nematodes: Attack more than 230 kinds of soil dwelling and wood boring pests, such as flea larvae, white grubs, cutworms, gypsy moth larvae, cabbage root maggots and many more. They are microscopic in size and cannot be seen with the naked eye but will hunt down most soil dwelling pests.
Horticultural Vinegar: Naturally produced from plants, it contains 20% acetic acid and is an excellent way to get rid of grass and weeds in interlocks, stone, patios and driveways.
Services
De-Thatch: Over time, lawns will accumulate thatch, a layer of decomposing grass stems, dead roots and debris that’s above the sod but below the grass blades. The name "thatch" is appropriate - like the thatched roof on a tropical hut, it stops water and air, as well as fertilizer, from reaching the soil, thus choking your lawn.
Slit-Seeding: Not only does this remove thatch, but it also drops grass seeds just below the surface of the soil for fast germination and a fuller lawn without the mess or trouble of adding topsoil. Small rotating blades gently slice the turf and push seeds, which fall evenly from a drop bucket attached to the machine, into the soil where they belong.
Aeration: Compacted soil restricts the movement of air, water and nutrients to the grass roots. Aeration involves the removal of small soil "plugs" or cores out of the lawn, allowing water, oxygen flow and fertilizer to reach the roots. The holes are filled as the soil around them settles resulting in a less compacted earth and "softer" lawn.
